Kris Kliemann
Rights Consultant
Kris Kliemann, President of Kliemann & Company LLC, advises global publishing companies on strategies for maximizing reach and revenue through rights, royalties, and new technologies. Previously, Kris was Vice President, Director, Global Rights, with Wiley Inc., where she led an international team of sales, marketing, and operations professionals. From Random House to Hyperion/Disney, to Farrar, Straus & Giroux, she successfully negotiated and executed print and digital licensing agreements with a broad spectrum of global companies. Through her distinguished career, she achieved bottom line results managing editorial, branding, creative and marketing teams as well as rights. Kris heads the Rights Committee for the Book Industry Study Group.
Marta Maretich

Marta Maretich is a content creator, curator, and editor with a deep love of literature and a drive to share it with others. Born in Nigeria, raised in California, she began her career teaching English in Spain, Taiwan and Los Angeles. She holds an MFA in creative writing, and has published three novels, plus articles, short stories, poetry and nonfiction. As a freelance editor and writer, she’s turned her hand to every kind of publication from erudite poetry reviews, to underground fanzines, to business-oriented newsletters and books. Her abiding passion is editorial development—enabling other writers by giving them the support they need to make the most of their projects.
Sarah Suarez
Social Media Guru
Sarah Suarez has nearly a decade of experience at small and large nonprofit organizations such as the Houston Human Society and Museum of Fine Arts Houston. She is the director of The Social Puzzle, a boutique social media marketing agency that helps build and engage digital audiences for nonprofit and small business clients.
Sarah focuses on digital communications, including social media, to help passion-driven clients find and engage their desired digital community, empowering them to increase their impact and achieve their goals. She is passionate about supporting changemakers.
